Prowl, kill and avoid sight

I am Il Lupo, often known as "The Prowler." I am Cesare's Templar assassin sent to eliminate all his enemies efficiently and silently.
Cross my path, and this switch blade will be your last sight.

“Dear Lupo, I don’t want a puttana at the moment,” He began slowly, the distance between him and the prowler steadily decreasing. “I want you.”

“Well what a shame.” He said, glaring and crossing his arms. “I do not want you. At this, or any moment.”

“Hmm…a minor set back, but that’s alright. I do love a good challenge.”

Malfatto purred, patting Lupo lightly on the cheek.

He gave a growl of warning before raising his switch blade to the doctor’s throat.

"A full set back, dottore.”

Shoving Malfatto to the ground with his right hand, he turned and began to walk away. “Do anything more, and I can guarantee this blade will be through your skull.” Il Lupo spat out with a snarl, as he ran up a nearby wall to free run. He gave the doctor one last irritated glance before vanishing on the rooftops.

Stop trying to glorify yourself. It won’t make people like you any more than they do.

“My intent was not to glorify myself, Il Lupo, but alright…I’ll turn my attention onto other things…Like you.”

The doctor said, approaching the prowler calmly.

Il Lupo snorted, unamused by the doctor’s pathetic line.

“Why don’t you just find yourself a puttana, you seem fond enough of their sort. At least one will accept you.”

OOC Moment: I cannot even describe how much this cracks me up…alright…let’s do this…
Of course it was amazing. I can even show you how amazing it was if you want…
/purr

And if you also notice, it says “a fiction.” Did you and your desperate self write this out…?

“Well, we all have secrets to hide, don’t we?” He rolled the papers up and tied them with a ribbon before shoving them into a pocket on the inside of his coat. In truth, Teodor was wondering where the ex-courtesan-now-messenger was lurking. Only Cesare had seen her in the past few weeks.

“He mostly sent me to deliver the assignments to you. I just decided to work on paperwork while I was here and you were in the bath.” Teodor shrugged and headed to the door.

"Fair enough." He said, as he hacked open the letter, interested to discover what his new contract might be. He was honestly excited to see what his next mission was, hoping for a bit of a challenge. Knowing Teodor was out of range to see the contents, he quickly scanned the message left by Cesare. After doing so, he glanced over at the officer as he was leaving.

"What you said earlier seems to clash with what you have told me. But I will accept that, for now. Good day Teo."

Raising his eyebrow at this, he questions the officer. “You never directly said why then. I doubt Cesare would want you to watch me for the soul reason I take little care of myself after a mission. What is your real reason to be here.”

Turning his attention to Malfatto, he gives a baleful look at the doctor. He groans at the fact he has not yet left, placing his face into his palm. “Sorry, but I can tolerate Teodor much more than you, Dottore.”

“Ah, eager to get me to leave I see.” Teodor chuckles and leans back, reaching into the inside pocket in his overcoat, pulling out a sealed letter. “Normally Fiora would be delivering this to you, but I’m afraid she’s been missing.”

The officer also drops a pouch of florins onto the table before standing up and gathering his papers.

“And that is payment for the last mission.”

"Slightly." Il Lupo said while smirking, walking over to grab the letter. "More eager for a direct answer." Pausing, he examined the letter and seal before wondering out loud "Wonder where she went off this time."

The younger man thinks for a moment, before coming to a conclusion. “If this was an order, then I would be annoyed at Cesare for demanding such a thing, and you for carrying out said order and be bitter to both of you.” He paused for a moment, trying to find a way to word his thoughts.

“I would also be slightly surprised. I am only really used for missions, I do not believe he cares much for me otherwise. If you actually took this upon yourself, I’d be curious of why, but still a bit bitter.”

“Hmm. Cesare cares little for his men. Even as his leading officer, I have no doubts that he would not hesitate to slit my throat and toss me into the Tiber once I’ve become useless.” Teodor grimaces, recalling the painful whipping he received for failing to injure Donato in the horse race. “And you have nothing to worry about; I’m not doing this out of desire at all. Besides, you tolerate me only a bit more than you tolerate Malfatto.”

Malfatto crosses his arms upon hearing this, pouting under his mask.

“Only a little more,” He grumbled.

Raising his eyebrow at this, he questions the officer. “You never directly said why then. I doubt Cesare would want you to watch me for the soul reason I take little care of myself after a mission. What is your real reason to be here.”

“Fair enough, but you still did not answer my question with that. So I am assuming you are here out of work, and not desire.” He said in a calm reply, while staring intently at the paper being moved about.

“If I was here out of desire instead of work, would you treat me any differently?” He raised a brow at the prowler. In truth, he was surprised the man wasn’t already shoving him out the nearest window.

“… There are very little decisions to make when you do not enjoy many things.” The officer said bitterly as he shuffles his papers. “I do not enjoy work, but at least it gives me something to think about.”
